Fay Hodza, PhD
Fay holds a PhD in Human and Community Development and has over 20 years of experience in teaching and learning, school leadership, professional teacher development, community engagement and partnerships development. He is responsible for coordinating regional partnerships and collaborations, policy development and continuous professional development (CPD), delivery of CPDs, and monitoring, evaluation, and research. He works in close collaboration with African governments and other partners in different parts of the continent to put school leadership on the education transformation agenda.
Chantal Kabanda Dusabe
Chantal has more than two decades of experience working in education and development. Her role is to provide advice and technical support to VVOB and its partners in Rwanda and beyond in Africa in terms of promoting effective school leadership. She has been actively involved in the process of setting up the African Centre for School Leadership, a collaborative initiative between VVOB and its key partners.
Etienne Ntawigira
Etienne holds a Master’s in International Development and a B.A in Journalism and Communication. He has more than 15 years of experience in communications and media, mainly with development organisations. He joined VVOB in 2018 and is currently responsible for formulating and implementing the African Centre for School Leadership’s communication and advocacy strategy, content development and management, and social media.
Jocelyne Cyiza Kirezi
Jocelyne, M. Sc., is the African Centre for School Leadership’s Strategic Education Advisor, in charge of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Research. She has effectively coordinated research on the implementation, impact, and costs of Professional Development programmes since joining VVOB in 2020. She previously coordinated research projects at the Institute of Policy Analysis and Research, focusing on socio-economic and poverty analysis. Jocelyne’s knowledge of digital monitoring and evaluation systems complements her contributions to the field of education.
Jef Peeraer, PhD
Jef holds a PhD in Education Sciences and has 15+ years of experience in education for development in Asia and Africa. His focus is on education change processes in general and school leadership, teacher professional development and ICT in particular. He works as Global Strategic Education Advisor at VVOB’s headquarters and coordinates VVOB’s flagship programme on effective school leadership. Jef played an important role in initiating the African Centre for School Leadership and puts his shoulders under the further development of the Centre.
